Screens in K-2

How much are kids on computers/daily screen time at your private in K-2? Thanks for any insights!

DC Catholic - rarely in PK-2nd. These kids use it for IXL and Razkids and Epic (mostly for ELA supplementation). There certainly are days when movies are shown and sometimes there's screen time while eating lunch. There's much more iPad/Chromebook based work starting in second half of 4th - 8th. In 5th - 8th, almost all of homework is on Google classroom (no paper/writing in books).

Way, way, way less than in the public school I work in but probably still a tad more than I would prefer. I will say the learning is more active, purposeful, and better supervised,

Zero, throughout all of elementary. This was a significant part of why we chose to go there.

Saint Jeromes Academy in Hyattsville, MD (Montessori to 8th) does not use screens at all, apart maybe from the occasional video clips or films in older grades. It's a Catholic school.
