| I have never been there. Husband has identified a few nice properties but we wouldn’t be able to Airbnb there. He says Ashville has a lot to offer to families and we would have a nice time there with the kids. I am flying there soon to see the area. Would you buy there? |
| Maybe. |
| Maybe in Roseboro Proper. |
| Is this a vacation home? I personally would not buy a vacation home I had to fly to. |
| I would never buy a house in a place I’d never been. |
| No thanks. |
| Never. I'd buy a chalet in the Alps. |
Could you elaborate? |
|
I would never buy in a place I had never visited, you don't even know if you would like it!
Why not rent an airbnb for vacation and see if you like it? Personally I think there are more things to do for adults in the Asheville area than there is for kids. Cool restaurants, bars, outdoor activities. It's weird to buy a vacation house in a place you have never been. |
| No. You could buy near sheperdstown which is only an hour or 80 minutes drive away. |
| Stop trolling tonight, OP. You've created way too many threads. All of them stupid. |
|
I'll bite, even though you are probably a troll.
Most people I know have moved to Asheville in retirement; the eat at interesting restaurants, drink craft beer, hike and watch the bears raid their birdfeeders on their decks. Personally, I like that. I also like bluegrass, which is popular there, and love the hippie commune atmosphere. I'm not sure that kids would. |

We have a second home in NC, but closer to Boone than Asheville. Love both areas.

I did mention that I am flying there soon by myself to check it out. |
| No way…heard it has changed there with homeless encampments. |
