For the benefit of Juniors, I think it would be helpful to know whether students did the interview and/or submitted a supplemental portfolio. There is a real creative bent to Wesleyan and there are no supplemental essays.

DD loves Wesleyan (not enough to ED though) and did an interview but no supplemental portfolio. I will report back.

My DD was accepted. 1500, 4.8 from public charter. Did the interview and I think she also sent additional info after submitting her app after securing a spring internship.

Accepted with crazy FA package. 34, 4.5. 12 AP (5s and 4s) , several national awards that demonstrated creativity, varsity sport captain, public school. essay described their thinking process and connected activities and awards. No interview. Did not submit supplemental materials. DC liked that they didn’t require additional essays. If DC didn’t have a better offer this would be our first choice.

Mine got in last year. Did interview (schedule that early, juniors!) Also submitted supplements -- music performance and music composition. And, I think they did not accept theatre supplement but did have some little essay, so did that. Wes offered fantastic FA, BTW. Beat out 2 Ivies by 10K.

Same poster. 4.7W, 1560 SAT, nat'l awards, regional awards in various areas, sports capt., 5s on APs. Applied RD. Did visit and clicked all the email links/videos to show the love. Good luck!
