GBRS

Has anyone requested and seen their package yet? We have and were surprised to have one 2 Frequently, one Consistently and one Occasionally score. Child is in 6th grade and has been in AAP cluster. Does child stand a chance of being admitted? Reports have mostly been 3 and 4s.

In the 2nd grade wave, so to speak, I know the GBRS are heavily weighted. I don’t know about the older grades though… would love to know if anyone has any experiences with it though.

That’s not true. It depends entirely on the teacher.

Sorry, I 100% agree. I meant it’s highly weighted by the central committee. But it is totally dependent on the teacher/subjective.

Oh ok, I totally misunderstood what you were saying! Thanks for clarifying

I would guess no. The GBRS and grades do not indicate that a child would need AAP. If the kid is in sixth grade they can take honors classes at MS so it shouldn’t be a big deal.

OP here. We would like to get accepted into Level IV but we are quite surprised to have received those GBRS scores. DD will be disappointed to not get in.
