Has anyone requested and seen their package yet? We have and were surprised to have one 2 Frequently, one Consistently and one Occasionally score. Child is in 6th grade and has been in AAP cluster. Does child stand a chance of being admitted? Reports have mostly been 3 and 4s. |
In the 2nd grade wave, so to speak, I know the GBRS are heavily weighted. I don’t know about the older grades though… would love to know if anyone has any experiences with it though. |
That’s not true. It depends entirely on the teacher. |
Sorry, I 100% agree. I meant it’s highly weighted by the central committee. But it is totally dependent on the teacher/subjective. |
Oh ok, I totally misunderstood what you were saying! Thanks for clarifying |
I would guess no. The GBRS and grades do not indicate that a child would need AAP. If the kid is in sixth grade they can take honors classes at MS so it shouldn’t be a big deal. |
OP here. We would like to get accepted into Level IV but we are quite surprised to have received those GBRS scores. DD will be disappointed to not get in. |
