| After 2 ectopics OB recommend this route, I’m worried about the costs. |
| I did natural cycle 9 years ago and it was less than $5k. |
| A single cycle of traditional IVF with meds can cost anywhere from $15-20,000 at a place like SGF. But they do have packages like shared risk and multi-cycle discounts. Keep in mind that there are other tests before you get to IVF. |

Does your insurance cover any of it? My insurance at the time was considered one of the best for fertility treatments and I basically only paid for meds (which still ran me into the thousands of dollars). But I know there are many options for reducing costs if none of it is covered like those already mentioned (shared risk, natural cycle, etc).
One of the best pieces of advice I can give you when it comes to fertility treatments is to take it one day at a time. When you start to think big picture, you will stress and panic (costs, time, risks, fear of failure, etc). But when you just focus on the step that's right in front of you, it becomes more tolerable. Right now, the only thing you should be thinking about is setting up meetings with a couple REs to get an idea of treatment options and cost. You can make a decision on your next step from there. Good luck! |
| $25K+ |
Really? We did natural cycle about 20 years ago and it was a lot more |
| Do you live in MD? |
When we were at SGF 5 years ago it was like $11000 for a single cycle and $20,000 for shared risk 6 cycles. Meds were a few thousand extra per cycle and PGS also an add-on. Our insurance did not cover any of it but some do. |
I heard that if you live in MD, a portion or all are covered by insurance. It's subsidized by taxes. That's why its so high. Leave after the IVF. |
If you have insurance through Maryland or an employer based in Maryland. I’m a Maryland resident but would have to have a policy that covers it. It’s not like I just walk into SGF and get a resident discount. |
I don't think it's subsidized by taxes |
+1 it's not covered by any federal employee insurance (or at least was the case a few yrs ago) |
| Doesn’t your health insurance cover IVF? |
No. |
| 20K+ for one cycle with genetic testing not including all the tests before that. |
