What’s the market rate for a communications director at a large non profit? Not the head of communications but middle management with 2-3 staff. 20 plus years experience. DC area.
Though I thought my salary was decent I’ve recently had a few indications that I may not have a good idea of my market value. Anyone have insight in to typical ranges? |
| $100-150K |
| Large non profit? Probably 80k, but every single one is funded differently. 40-250k is the range for any of them, and they know they can pay less for bleeding hearts |
| Pull the 990 and estimate downward from the most highly paid employees. |
| But I’d guess 80 |
My senior editor with 4 years of experience makes 80k. A large nonprofit for this role should be at least 125k. |
| That describes me. Im making $126. It feels low but we have amazing benefits. Ive made up to $145 elsewhere. |
Depends on the org. |
| I’d guess $90k-$125k. |
| 120-150 |
| $80,000 at my organization |
That is insanely low for that title. |
NP but this is definitely org-dependent. I’ve seen anywhere from $80k - $150k. |
Jeez, I was making that twenty years ago - same position. White collar jobs like this have had completely stagnant pay. |
I work for a cheap employer. Everyone is underpaid and the org chart is chaos. |
