No grades in Synergy for a month

How would you address this problem? Student has no grades posted at all in Synergy for multiple classes for the past month. That means no opportunity for retaking any assignments and the quarter ends next week. I’ve already email teacher and no response. What do I do next? Principal? Counselor?
This is stressful and surprising that yea hers can even do this.

Try the department's resource teacher and/or the assistant principal with oversight for that department.

Is there a policy by when grades are supposed to be in synergy? One of our teachers only ever puts in grades at the last possible moment (the day interim and final grades are due). Super frustrating.

My ES kid never gets grades in Synergy other than report cards and the interim.

When teachers do this rhey take away your students right to retake assignments and submit missing work. Escalate this!! Itnis unacceptable.

What level is this (ES:MS/HS)? ES never outs in grade until late, but they do send home papers. MS/HS level does the kid know how they are doing in the class(es). If no, the first thing would be to have the kid go talk to the teacher about needing grades and feedback more readily available. If no response to that then escalate to the functional team lead, counselor, then AP.

OP here. It’s HS.
I know ES grades are not updated often if ever. This lack of
Grades is for two classes!

Yes this is why I’m upset about it. Others have the opportunity for retakes.

Are the grades in Canvas? Some teachers tend to work primarily with that platform, and only periodically sync to Synergy.

Sadly, this is all too common in MCPS and there appear to be no easy or effective ways to address it. There's no accountability or systemic check to make teachers input grades in a timely manner or provide meaningful and substantive feedback, which are instrumental in providing a meaningful education experience for students and for giving parents the insights they need to intervene with their kids as needed.

+1 Most schools have a policy and some schools' policy is sooner than Interims/final grades.

MCPS should have a policy that applies to everyone. why is this school-dependent?

Could there be a bug with your child's account? It's strange that the teacher's have not replied to you.

Right. The things MCPS picks and chooses to make a districtwide decision vs a school-based one baffle me.

I had the same concern for my daughter’s English class. I recently found out they had a long term substitute since their teacher was out on leave from surgery.
