We (those of us who commute M-F, like teachers) get it - you hate putting on pants and a bra in the middle of the week. You've forgotten how to drive. You don't have to be at your job by a strict start time, and so you use your phone at stoplights and aren't paying attention to when the light changes, thereby slowing traffic down in a domino effect of your selfishness.
Then you linger in the left lane, even though you have to be in the right lane, and then try to cross 2 lanes of GW Parkway at the last minute so you can get on 395. And you live in a bubble of your own narcissism against keeping the road moving. I already have to leave 20 minutes earlier on Wednesday (and 10-15 earlier on Tues/Thurs) to compensate for your ineptitude. And no, it isn't just the volume of cars - you hybrid commuters are utterly mindless behind the wheel. Mondays and Fridays, traffic is a piece of cake, because M-F commuters know you're too delicate to clothe yourselves on the weekend bookends. |
| You write very poorly. |
You may need to get some bigger pants. |

Hmm, funny, i think Tuesday is now the worst commuting day. DC-Tysons and back.
though I admit today I was distracted and looking at my phone at red lights. I LOVE going to work on M and F - so empty and fun to drive! I'm thinking of making Tuesday my WFH day. |
They fit great, thanks. I don't commute, but I wear nice ones. Use your non-commuting time to work on your writing. |
Amen. RIP the Covid commute.. |
I get that you’re going for clever, but you just sound bitter and mean. Grow up. |
Huh? Those of us who commute to work every day, wish you'd stay home, if you cannot drive like a conscientious person. If you're not a conscientious driver, that makes YOU the mean one. Grow up and learn how to drive. |
Trust me, I'd LOVE to stay at home. |
Then at least make the choice to drive courteously - don't use your phone even at lights, and stay out of the left lane of any multi lane road. |

The Wednesday people aren't bad drivers. There are just more people commuting midweek than on Mondays and Fridays, so traffic is worse. But it's not like the people who commute midweek are somehow worse at driving and that the people who commute every day are safety angels every day. Give me a break.
Don't you remember that Monday and Friday were also light traffic days before the pandemic? |

Thanks, OP. Every sentence made me LOL. And I salute teachers and others who drive five days each week.
Signed, Unhappy Wednesday driver. |

I was noticing a m/w uptick in stupidity and traffic. This makes more sense now.
Metro works. |
Truth. It was beautiful while it lasted. Especially 2021. |
As a healthcare worker, March-December 2020 commute was AMAZING. NO ONE was on the roads. My normal 75m commute was just under 30m. |
