Middle School Magnet Consortium round 2

Has anybody gotten letters on the second round for the lottery for the Middle School Magnet Consortium? It was supposed to out "mid-March."

I telephoned the office and learned that letters should arrive by Friday. Fingers crossed for everyone who is hoping!

Last year they were several weeks late. Every call or email response was “they’re at the post office”. Seems crazy that literally everything else is online for MCPS but for this we rely on snail mail?!?

Seroiusly. Why can't they post results in Parentvue, even if they also mail them?

They do eventually post them in Parentvue (go to your kid's profile and click on Documents), but I don't see the second round yet.

The office handling is completely incompetent so proactively contact them to have your results sent individually. I tried this and instead received info for thousands of MCPS 5th graders.

Post office email says we are getting a letter today.

Oh my goodness. That is not comforting.

It was disturbing to see how many kids were placed in both MS magnet programs knowing they can only choose one. Meanwhile thousands of kids were not chosen for either.
