Cost and time for full braces and headgear?

2 years, $4900. Does this seem right to you? Includes the final retainer.

I know someone who just got braces. no headgear. 18mts at $5K. so yes, sounds about right.
does your insurance cover any of it?

My son's phase 1 treatment was about $3000. He had a terrible overbite, but not much else wrong. Phase 1 consisted of a spacer on the bottom, braces and head gear on the top (which he wore for about 9 months - an unusually short time), and a retainer which he got after the braces/headgear came off and which along with the spacer he will wear for 2-3 years. I'm hoping he doesn't need phase 2 (I'm European and not so interested in the movie star perfect teeth thing). My insurance paid for half of the cost.
