Cracked heels

Anyone have any suggestions for cracked heels?

I've used Urea cream, slept in those moisturizing socks and used pumice stones. My heels are just ugly with white cracked heels.

And for background- no health issues and I drink TONS of water.

I use Baby Foot peel each month. It's disgusting (but oddly satisfying). Plus it's the only thing that's worked for me!

I have a life long problem with it. The things that definitely work are Foot peel and shaving off the skin with an electric skin shaver. Of the two, I recommend shaving off the skin. The product is called Electric Feet Callus Removers. This is most convenient and can do every 1 or 2 months depending on the level of issues. Easier that putting on lotion every night.

Interesting that pumice stones is not effective for you.

The Finishing Touch Flawless Pedi is awesome. It leaves your feet much smoother than a pumice stone does. I also love The Naked Bee Restoration Foot Balm. It’s so nourishing and smells like orange blossom honey.

I get a pedicure every three weeks…that’s honestly what fixed it. I also wear house shoes…never go barefoot.

O’Keefes foot cream did wonders for my heels.

I use my Ped Egg to get rid of the excess dry skin, then slather heels in Aquaphor with socks. Works for me if I keep doing it but I don't always, because my feet get too hot in the socks.

See the super detailed instructions on the Baby Feet foot peel in this thread (first page): https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/777091.page

I haven’t tried it yet, but plan to soon. Have a wedding to attend in April and need to get rid of these lizard feet.

OP here. The pumice stones seem to make my feet really rough. I make my heels smooth and then the skin grows even rougher. Maybe I just needed to keep going?

OP, here’s what worked for me. I started with a foot peel. That put a significant dent in my badly cracked heels. Then, I started using a urea based cream. About 3 weeks later, I got a pedi. Since then, regular use of a foot file plus cream has kept my feet from cracking. The cream alone does the job too, but the heels feel quite rough.

Any petroleum-based extra thick moisturizer will help.I like Neutrogena extra healing or whatever it’s called. It comes in a small tube. The trick is to put it on while your skin is damp.

Dr. Frederick' Moisturizing Heal Socks finally solved my problem. You can buy them on amazon for $12.

This has been recommended by a few instagram beauty experts and so far it seems to really be working.

Wear it a few times a week at night with socks.
