| Is a $100 Visa gift card a good gift for a quinceañera? I just want to give a good gift, and not sound like we are being cheap.. how much should we spend on a quinceañera |
| $100 is a very generous gift. I love quinceañeras...so much fun! |
| Yes, $100 is appropriate. Love Quinceañera parties too! |
| Quinceaneras are so outdated. |
| $100.00 is a great gift!! |
What do you suggest they evolve into? |
Just not have them. |
But many girls (and other genders) really value and love them. |
| Don’t know about you but our girls were invited to quinceañeras in Miami, Puerto Rico, and one in North Carolina. So yeah, they aren’t outdated at all. Lots of fun. |
Just because your girls were invited to them doesn’t mean they aren’t outdated. |
| I guess I am one of the poors, but I would say $50. |
| That is generous! My daughters received gift cards/cash/checks ranging from $40 to $150 (symbolic, $10 for every year) along with other thoughtful gifts. They spent the gift card money and the cash is in a savings account. |
| Boys can have Quinceañeras too you know. |
I would just warn you to make sure that it is not one of those "prepaid" debit cards (they look just like gift cards) that the recipient has to register for. My kids have gotten a couple of those over the years and they ask for SSN to establish an account, seems scammy to me, but they sell them along side gift cards! |
