Which Pike and Rose restaurant for date night?

We are going to a show at AMP. Trying to decide between Melina, Caruso's, Julii and Hello Betty. We've been to Commonwealth; DH doesn't like Summer House.

Full disclosure I’ve not been to any of those places besides Caruso’s. But it was yummy for DC-area Italian. The burrata and tricolor salad were excellent. Ragu was very good. We also went there before an AMP show.

For a bunch of women at lunch it’s nice. My DH wouldn’t like it because not enough meat.

I haven’t been to the others except Summer House but we LOVED Julii.

Melina is the best. I don’t care for summer house at all.

Summer house is for high school girls going to brunch, or college kids meeting up with their friends during a break. It's not a date place. Just casual food for simple palates.

OP here. I have seen the reviews for Caruso's but red sauce Italian is probably what I want least--too much pasta and pizza in our lives in general but DH loves it.

Caruso looks insanely expensive for what it is. There are a lot of places in the DMV that are way cheaper for Americanized Italian.
