My WFH job is not very high stress or keeps me busy every day. How do you handle WFH days when you essentially do not have much to do?

Ask if there is anyone that needs help? Let them know you have some bandwidth. |
Enjoy the break and putter around my house. |
Netflix. |
I sign up for classes on Udemy for things I'm interested in and may help me in my job. That way it doesn't feel as much like shirking. |
Take a walk. Exercise between meetings. Cook a nice meal. At my job leisurely days are few and far between so I try to enjoy them before things pick up again. |

Agree with ask others if they need help. I often get admin and training requirements out of the way. Email hygiene. Work on my calendar - set reminders, etc. Clean out old draft versions, tidy up my desktop, print docs I need in hard copy. That sort of thing. Then I play Wordle. |
What’s the job?? |
Clean house/my workstation, go for a walk, exercise, get nails done, go out for a cup of coffee. I'm thinking about how to be more strategic about using the time to plan/transition my career over the next few years... side gig, consulting, additional certifications...I'll feel better if I have a plan, and some things in place, as opposed to being faced with a sudden change. |
Don’t do this. Just appreciate that you’re not busy and do some chores or work on certifications. |
Organize files, delete old emails. Document. Seems like there is always something if you think about it. |
Take a walk for leisure or exercise.
Grocery shop or run errands (it's less crowded). Cook nicer meals. Watch tv or read. This is what I do but the caveats are that I enjoy these things and I work a job that is very much self directed and unmonitored, so I'm not chained to a messaging app or log in or anything, and I set my meeting boundaries ("I'm not available then, let's find another time" is a totally acceptable answer.) |
I take classes. |
