Questions re TWW

I had my first IUI last week and have felt sort of crampy ever since. No breast tenderness or any other symptoms yet. What is the earliest you can try a HPT? How soon did breast tenderness develop for others? Other symptoms I should be looking for? Believe it or not (and probably b/c this is my first IUI) I'm actually not all that stressed or anxious, but just curious as to what I should be looking for. Thanks, all!

I had no breast tenderness during or after the 2ww and am now 21 weeks pregnant with twins. I would try to no drive yourself crazy looking for symptoms (easier said than done) and would try to stay away from the HPTs.

I have gotten a HPT at 10dpo (faint but there). If you did injectibles with the IUI, you would need to make sure they are out of the system (which varies by person), because otherwise you could get a false positive early on.

PP here, I mean a BFP at 10dpo on a HPT.

OP here -- is a false positive what folks refer to as a chemical pregnancy? I'm still trying to sort out all of the jargon and abbreviations! Thanks.

a false positive is when you took an HCG injection to trigger ovulation, it takes aboout 12-14 days to leave your system and causes pregancy tests to show up positive if taken too soon after the injection.

i got pregnant via IVF, but as one of the posters said, there weren't really any symptoms during the 2ww or even for a couple of weeks after. sometimes we want it so bad, we bring on pregnancy like symptoms. i would do a HPT, the day before or the morning of your beta. it will be most accurate then.

The trigger will be out of your system by 10 days -- it does not take 12-14 days.

With both of my pgs (one IUI one "natural") I had obvious symptoms at 10dpo. The line did not show up the next day. Breast tenderness, fuzzy-headed, sleepy, had to pee every 20 minutes -- it was way different than the symptoms I had during all the previous 2ww, but I would have used the same words to describe the non-pg "symptoms" so my written description is no help to you. When I was PG the second time (which was sort of an oops) I was absolutely sure the HTP would be positive (it was 10 dpo) bc of the symptoms. So all I can say is, you know it when you have it.

Sometimes you don't have symptoms at all and be pregnant. That's what happened to me. But during many other cycles I could have sworn I was pregnant and I wasn't.
