I'm throwing a dinner party next weekend based on this classic show complete with a mystery. What can I serve besides lobster??

I definitely think of blueberries from Maine. Maybe a blueberry cheesecake. Also I remember having popovers in restaurants there.

clam chowder
Out of season but tomatoes and corn on the cob
Blueberry muffins
Strawberry shortcake (that is a Maine Fourth of July staple)
Salmon is also a fourth of July thing in New England that has gone by the wayside - with peas
Potatoes

I haven't ever been to Maine, but would think seafood-focused menu as others have said. This idea is so much fun though - I would want to come to this party!

Can you make a dish with a “mystery ingredient” that everyone has to guess? Like mayo in a chocolate cake or potato chips in chocolate chip cookies.

There is an episode where she has a dinner party and someone laces the clam chowder (??) with something.
