CFA exams

Any or their husbands take this exam and pass all three? Do you feel like it helped your job possibilities and salary?

My husband just took Level 2 in June so I can't speak directly to your question but he took it because many of the jobs he applies to are "CFA required" or "CFA strongly preferred." It seems like, given the economy, not having one may mean that your resume doesn't even get looked at.

I am a CFA charterholder. For me personally, it has definitely helped with career progression. My last two jobs listed "MBA or CFA" as requirement, and since I don't have an MBA I am pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten a chance to interview without having the CFA designation. It does target different skills than an MBA though, so whether it would help you would depend on what kind of work you want to go into. If it's related to investment management, it's pretty much required these days (especially if you are trying to break in from a different field), it's also helpful for "hard-core" financial analysis type jobs. For general business, I think an MBA would be preferred.
