We won't. Most stalking happen to women and we don't take women seriously as seen in how we as a society still handle rapes.

That's a generous way to put it. More like, our society is outwardly hostile to women. It's misogynistic AF.

So many victims of gun deaths are at the hands of (usually youngish white) men who have/cause/perpetrate problems with women in their lives. Unrequited (and irrational)"love" infatuation in this case. More common is the men who shoot the wives/girlfriends that they've controlled and abused for years.
