Puppy 15 weeks but my friends husband

Total accident. Puppy was going for a tug or war toy and missed and pierced the man’s finger. Puppy is die for rabies vaccination this week. Any reason this man needs to worry. Puppy is always with us, minus our small backyard but I highly doubt has been approached by any rabbis animals. Is acting normal. What should he do? Get a shot? What about the dog?

Puncture wounds can go deep and get infected easily. I hope he disinfected immediately. Rabies I agree is most unlikely. Dog should have been reprimanded on the spot.

Did it break the skin? Usually those accidental bites where hand got in the way of toy aren’t puncture wounds, just pinches.

I wouldn’t worry. But I would buy toys with longer handles until the shark phase is over.

Jk, I see “pierce” now. I’d just pour h202 on it and keep an eye on it.
