When can we start signing up for summer school?
DD will have to take English 9A, and Biology A.. |
| ask the counselor |

It’s one of those classes where repetition is important. Not for learning the basics of the content but applying it when important. ImThink of it like a public health campaign For instance it’s one thing to talk about sex, drugs and alcohol in 7/8th grade. That just gives you background info. It’s another thing toreinforce those concepts with different data/depth at 17/18 in 11th/12th grade when the situations are likely to be more applicable in their life. Another example, dating violence isn’t as relevant to 6-8th graders, but much more relevant 10-12th.
So I can see the theory behind a year class that is suppose to be broken up between early highschool and late highschool. The implementation/curriculum/and delivery…. Well not sure that has been done well. |
I think you meant to post this on the other thread, which was about Health classes. |
| It’s crazy that the info is not out yet for summer classes and it is already March. |
I don’t know about every year, but it was late March last year, too. Makes any sort of summer planning difficult. |
Plus 1 I’ve been checking too. |
Not really, usually its the same schedule every year. |

| I don’t see a contact for questions. Anyone know who I can contact about summer school? |
Call the main number and ask. |

| Does anybody know what “no repeats for credit” means on the course listing? My son needs to retake honors geometry A due to earning a D first semester. Does this mean he isn’t eligible? I was initially going to register him in person at his HS but online fits better with his schedule. |
Talk to the counselor, but you are looking for grade improvement, not "repeat for credit" |
| If taking a class for grade improvement, does it replace the semester grade? Is one grade earned for the class, replacing both of the student's quarter grades? |
