Friend stayed with us for a few days and discovered earlier today that she must have vaped in the room. I have the window open a crack as its chilly but the smell is still in there. Any suggestions on how to handle? We have guests coming this weekend.
TIA. |
| anyone? i didn't realized they smelled until now. |
| You need to create airflow, so open that room's window plus another one in the opposite direction. It's windy tonight and tomorrow, so you'll have no trouble. Just close the other rooms, put on a sweater or crank up the heat for a while. |
| Ime vape smell doesn’t stick around for long so it might be something else |
No, it’s the vape. Smelled it when we were walking but didn’t realize had also vaped inside. |
Only have windows on one side of the room. The door is on the other. |
| Fan? Wash everything in the room. |
Then you open the door, open the window, and create airflow across the landing/corridor with another window open somewhere. |
| Wash all fabrics. If there is carpet or non-washable rug, sprinkle with baking soda and let sit, then vacuum up. Open all windows and bring in the largest fan you have and run that too. Place coffee grounds in an open bowl on night tables and dresser (soaks up odors)-Discard after a day or two. |
| Ozone generator. Don't occupy the space while using it. |
Got it - thanks |
Yikes. There is a fabric chair and I cannot remove the slip cover. Also a sheepskin throw. Are these used coffee grounds? Thanks for the suggestions. While the smell has lessened, really want to reset to no odor. Had no idea that the smell of the vape could be as bad as cigarettes. |
| open the window and use some fabreezs |
| Np and I have nothing helpful to suggest but I just wanted to say that I agree that vape smell is horrible and permeates everything. Sorry you have to deal with that! |
do not use febreeze. that will just add to the gross smell. and many people are allergic to febreeze. dont invite this person back. so rude. |
