Acute In Patient Rehab - Northern VA

I’m hoping to get a parent with dementia in rehab to help them walk again after several days in the hospital. Any Medicare covered in patient rehab places in Arlington? I have Cherrydale Rehab and MedStar National (but hoping to avoid that because it’s hard to drive to). Parent also is retired military.

I'd give Vinson Hall a call -- they are in McLean, so not very far. They do have a short-term rehab place and they take Medicare I believe (my mom lives there and last year we were looking at whether she'd have to have surgery and rehab before she moved in).

OP, good luck. Be prepared if your parent doesn't make sufficient progress in 30 days (or less), then Medicare will cut off their support. My father was cut off before the 30 days because it was clear at 15 days that he was not making progress and would not going forward.
