Would you let your kids go to Mexico for spring break?

Anonymous
If so, where in Mexico is safe?

how old are these kids?

The resort areas are fine. But what age are the kids? Are you going too? I wouldn't let my college kids go because I am not funding that type of trip. They can do that type of thing when they are self-funded.

But as a family trip, yes I'd go to Mexico.

No. I wouldn’t trust them to be cautious or stay at the resort.

No.

With a supervised group, like a volunteer thing with a university, yes. With friends, no, not right now.

Yes.

Where in Mexico? I would stay in a resort and really stay within the resort. So many things happening there.
Anonymous
Heck no.

I wouldn't like it but if they're going to Mexico by themselves presumably they are adults and there's nothing I can do to stop them. If they're in high school still then no way.

The resorts are getting shot up too. I had a group of friends there eating outside at the resort dodging bullets a few months ago.

Still less likely to get shot than you are in America. Can't do anything here without that fear.

Not a chance.

Read the State Department warnings. It really isn't very safe, and being on a resort doesn't make it more so.
