What was this childhood food?

My Hawaiian uncle who was part Korean used to cook this dish and I remember it being called Chun? Or Chung?
It was very thin steak pounded even more thin, then breaded in a coating and fried. It was so good.

Jeon is a type of fried food that can be made with many ingredients. We usually had it with white fish, but also zucchini or mini seasoned meatball/hamburger patties. Never had it with steak, but this sounds good!

I’m 16:05. I’m glad that was it! All I did was Google “korean steak pounded thin breaded fried.” Now go make or get some and report back if it tastes as good as you remembered!

So it’s Asian schnitzel?

This Jun is different from Jeon which is more like a savory pancake with seafood or vegetables in it
