PG TAG Program

I was talking to a PGCPS employee and she said that the TAG office is really understaffed and that she worries that they are slowly dismantling the program.
I'm not sure how much of this is reality but I'll be writing a note to my Board member asking them to advocate for a strong TAG program in the county, especially at middle school where there are so few options.

Every central office is really understaffed this year. Due to the sub shortage and teacher shortage, most central office staff with teaching licenses were sent back to teach in classrooms.

PG teacher here. Less children are TAG identified now, more than ever. We can blame Covid of course. I do not understand what you mean by dismantling the program? There will always be TAG but maybe not enough numbers to do pull out so instead, it may be push in. Smaller class sizes at all TAG schools.
