Metro Smartrip Questions

Anonymous
Have not ridden metro in many years. Can't find old smarTrip cards.

Saw there was an app but it doesn't seem to work? Has anyone used that successfully?

Can I buy plastic card at a station now (like Reston) at a vending machine?

My elderly relative also wants to ride somewhere downtown and says they have a "senior card" -- Anyone know is this a thing or is that something outdated they will need to transfer to a SmarTrip card?

Yes, you can buy smart trip cards at every station. If your relative has a yellow senior smart trip card it should still work.
