| I have the entry level (LX) CR-V. I love it and I don't need anything fancy which is why I got the LX. I just don't like how the second row windows and rear window have absolutely no tint at all. The higher trims (Ex, Ex-l, etc.) do have shaded windows. I feel like my car is a fish bowl. If I wanted to go about getting the back windows tinted like they are in the higher trim models, could I do that? I do NOT want super dark tint, or the front windows tinted, or anything liek that. I don't like that look. Just the regular factory-level tint that comes in the more expensive models. Would the dealer do that for me? How much would it cost? |
| Yes, go to any tint shop. The dealer will not do this for you. |

I’ll say that a tinted driver side window makes me less likely to wave you “in.”
While I was driving in pretty heavy traffic. At a small intersection, a car had stopped and was preparing to turn into my lane. I gave them a “go ahead” wave… and waited, and waited, but this car didn’t proceed. So, I continued their tinted window absolutely interfered with the interaction. |
| Which state are you in? Tint laws differ by state. MD allows 35% tint all around. VA allows I believe 35% on every window except the front driver and passenger ones which can only be 50%. I’m in Maryland and got mine done 35%. I think it looks better and does provide some degree of privacy even if it’s not perfect. It also helps keep the car cooler in the summer. It was 5 years ago and cost $170. I imagine it’s closer to 200 or 250 now with inflation. That’s for everything except the windshield being tinted at 35%. |
| You can buy some cheap tint on ebay and just lay it over the windows to see what level you would want. |
Are you a moron? Would a dealer tint your windows? 🤦♂️ |
