Tax Preparation Cost - Not Independent/Online

If you pay someone to do your taxes, about how much do you pay for the filing? We own a small business so pay to make sure everything is done correctly. We use to pay around $600 for the full tax preparation but moved to a new CPA and it cost around $1,100 this year. Wondering what others pay.

$1900 they have to do taxes for 2 small businesses and investment properties

Quoted 850-1050 for this year. We have 2 W-2s, 1 K-1, and 1 wholly-owned LLC with rental income. We tried to use the level of TurboTax that gets you a dedicated person last year but he was incompetent, and that cost almost $600 anyway.

Last year I paid $900 for a very complicated return. My mom’s guy charged $1500 for a simple return. I’m moving her to my guy this year but I won’t know what he charges until he’s done. I trust him though and he is a wizard when it comes to taxes.
