| Are high school PLTW classes weighted by MCPS? |
|
You can look up the particular courses in the bulletin. If it says they're Advanced Level, then they are weighted. (Same weight as Honors, AP, IB courses)

| Yes. All except the first one is considered advanced and weighted. |
| Almost everything is weighted except for PE. |
False |
Kind of true for college focused kids and even non college focused kids...many classes are only offered as honors level regardless of where kids are. There is even honors health! |
| What is PLTW? |

DP Not really. Pretty much everything is Honors now. So the PP is correct. Almost everything is weighted. |
+1 Honors health.. what a joke. Both my kids went through it. |
This is a stupid argument, as "almost" and "pretty much" are vague terms. Some classes are weighted, some are not. Check the course bulletin if you want to find out about a specific class. |
So this is like the Leader in me? |
I think it's wonderful that they're reading the bar and expecting most of our young scholars! |
No. It's an academic pathway. |
