Cost of FET for subsequent pregnancies?

Anonymous
We're new to all of this and just considering all our options. One thing I'm not clear on is how the pricing works for subsequent cycles of frozen embryos after a successful IVF pregnancy. Say for example, you do a shared risk program, get pregnant, have a baby, but then have a few frozen embryos leftover. What's the cost to try again with FET?

Not sure from shared risk perspective, but our FET cost $3500. It was a natural FET so minimal med costs (antibiotics, prometrium). If you do medicated you might need to pay for estogen & maybe lupron or bcps.

I did the shared risk program with Shady Grove, paid the $20k, got pregnant on the first IVF cycle and had 5 frozens leftover. If I want to do a FET I don't get to use any of my shared risk money - it's all done once you deliver your first live child. So I have to pay somewhere in the neighborbood of $3k for any FET's.

I don't regret paying for the Shared Risk program by the way, even though it worked on my first cycle. It was my "insurance" policy and even though we had to scrimp and save to afford the $20k, it was worth every.single.penny.
