First child, boy, at 10 months
Second child, girl, at 2.5 |
| For my oldest, shortly after he turned 5. For my youngest around 3.5. |
Most kids are sleep-deprived, which only exasperates challenges. |
2 years 3 months

| Oldest was 5 right before K. She can still nap on weekends at 7. Youngest is 3.5 and needs to drop the nap. Shes up until nearly 10 with it. Clearly needs less sleep. |
|
We’re going strong at 3.25.
With very, very few exceptions, kids need a nap until at least 3.5, usually still need one at 4. The vast majority of kids younger than that who don’t nap are sleep deprived. |
My kid began sleeping through the night at six weeks, and dropped the afternoon nap at 2.5. At 5 still sleeps 12-13 hours per day. Nap time at school is torture for her. |
| Both of mine dropped it within two months of turning 3. |
| My two year old goes back and forth. There was like a month where it was less than 50% and I thought it was gone, and then it came back. So if you can, I think it’s worth continuing the routine and doing some sort of nap/quiet time. Whereas I didn’t do that when we dropped to one nap, etc. |
Well I hope it’s not torture. It should just be quiet time. |
| The first two dropped it right at age 3. My third kid dropped it around 2.5 probably because he started noticing his brothers weren't taking naps. |
BS , no way a 10mo went all day without napping. Mine dropped it at 3.5 OP. Generally you stop the nap when bedtime starts getting to late because of it. |
