High school credits earned in Middle school

Do grades from high school credits earned in middle school count toward HS GPA? For example, my son took Spanish 1 and 2. He had a C in 1 but an A in 2. Is it true that we can request to transfer the credit without the grade? I can’t find it anywhere on MCPS website. TIA

It will only be included in GPA of it improves it.
