SWW Student Spirit

Trying to get information on the school. Is it a cohesive school with lots of school spirit? It seems like many of the kids to activities outside of the school because there’s not as many options. Are there school traditions and homecoming and things like that?

School spirit sucks at SWW. There is no campus.
But JR has no school spirit either. None of the DCPS high schools have school spirit.
You have to go to a school like Gonzaga for rah rah school spirit.
Sad but true.

That's not true that none of the DCPS high schools have school spirit.

How do you define it? Go check out the Basketball championship tonight with JR vs Sidwell and see if there is any spirit

Yes - they have a homecoming
Yes - they have spirit week
Yes - they have pep rally
Yes - they have prom

I would not call it a cohesive school with lots of school spirit. It would use that phrase to describe Gonzaga or St. John's

Truly right? This is dc. Is is sort of our UMC culture that people come and go and we welcome them while continuing to do our own thing. “Spirit” is less of a thing than it is in the burbs of the Midwest and south.

My Walls student actually goes to a lot of school games and enjoys them. If you are looking for the high school version of Div I, this is Div III.
