A few years ago, we opened a bag of Tostitos way before the freshness date and they were stale. Even tried oven heating them and blah. So on a whim I called the toll free number and told them all the details. About two weeks later, we got a coupon for a free bag. The coupon hd an up to limit price on it, but the store was now selling the same bag for higher than the coupon price.
Once I got a bag of Oreos and each of the cookies was put too sides down so the writing faced the sugary lard goodness. I called just to let them know the error not seeking anything and they sent a case of various Oreo cookies flavors. Sadly not the new Tide Pod flavor that was en vogue at the time. 😉 |
| Yes-frequently. Most of us in my family are lawyers. We expect to get what we paid for. If we don't- we let the co. know. We get good results. |
| Yes. I’ve also e mailed. I’ve always received responses, sometimes refunds and sometimes coupons. |

As a tween, my friends and I got a kick out of calling Tampax and telling them our tampon was stuck and calling Trojan and letting them know their condoms were too small.

what is the best result you ever got from complaining about a product? And what was the most disappointing response? |
| I once called a company, not to complain, but to ask a question I couldn't find the answer to anywhere online (it was about whether they used a copacker in the US or did things in their own dedicated factory, which was located overseas). I not only got the answer, they took my email address and sent me coupons. |
| Not the same thing but someone hacked my Noodles account and ordered free food with my rewards. I emailed the company and as a “good faith effort” they credited my account the rewards someone stole. Awesome customer service there. |
I always get a good result. I either call the 800 number or email the company and I get a replacement product or coupons. The best thing I ever got was free hotel for an issue . For food, it was boxes of my favorite cookies. If people are polite, and firm, they will get what they want. |

Yep, whenever there's a legit complaint.
Not sure how this is post worthy. |
| The best was the time I got a rancid can of Diet Coke (fresh out of a case that had recently been purchased). They must have sent be coupons for 15 free cases of Diet Coke. They were extremely responsive. |
