Healthy pre-prepared kids meals

Anonymous
Just moved from overseas and searching supermarkets for good quality pre-prepared meals for my 3 year old. Something that is decent quality and a complete meal that can just be heated in the oven. All I find is mac and cheese, nuggets, etc. Am thinking more along the lines of fish or chicken pie with some sneaky vegetables hidden inside. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I recommend Dr. Praeger's stuff. The best stuff is at Whole Foods (they have some stuff at Giant but these seem better suited for older kids - I have a toddler but if yours are older they might like the stuff at Giant). In particular, we buy the "broccoli littles" - the broccoli is "hidden" inside and if you read the ingredients, there are only a few and everything is very recognizable and easy to pronounce - no chemicals or preservatives.

There are also "sweet potato littles".

We also do veggie burgers - we like Amy's brand. Pop in the microwave for 1 minute.

That's really all the pre-prepared stuff we do. When I want easy stuff, I usually do fresh fruit or frozen steamed vegetable with either a grilled cheese (no oil), a scrambled egg, or sunflower butter on whole wheat bread. Hummus on a wrap is easy too.
