Native, foot traffic, moist and semi shady groundcover

Depends on the amount of foot traffic. You can always plant something like Virginia creeper, which should be able to handle anything you throw at it, once established.

This is a good list of native groundcovers of VA; you'll have to do some research on which ones might work for you.

Packera aurea has great and hardy foliage. Although it does flower.

How much foot traffic? Green and gold can handle some. Carex pennsylvanica can handle more. But spreads slower.

Ragwort is great but might be too tall

Thanks! I just bought 100 little green and gold pots. They're only 4" so I hope they spread
