Looking for flats for spring and summer. Had many pairs of Tom’s canvas, which I loved, but know these are now out of style. Suggestions please. Thanks |
Rothy’s? |
Not my style personally but the ballet flats of the 2010s are somehow back this spring . |
Love my Rothy’s |
Birdies. |
Toms are fine. They’re not like, super trendy, but they fill a niche. The other types of flats tend to be dressier. |
Rothy’s are completely over. They were tired even pre-pandemic. |
Any Birdies with the quilted satin lining will be disgusting for summer. I know some are leather lined and probably fine. |
No. It’s not 2016. |
If you like the look of Birdies loafers, look at Everlane. |
Still loving my Rothy's. |
Ballet flats. Classic, never dated. |
I just saw this article and thought some of the Mango ballet flats were cute https://www.whowhatwear.com/ballet-flat-outfit-ideas |
Love these Frye flats that are reminiscent of Tom's but look so nice in the leather and will be more durable with the rubber reinforcement as well:

I think if you’re over 40 and still give a F what is trendy versus wearing what you have the confidence to know you like and works for your body… then you deserve your white wash mom jeans/Laura Ashley/white sneakers pain. |
