LOST THREADS AND POSTS

Due to a database crash, I had to restore from a back up that was made early Friday morning. As a result, all of Friday's posts have been lost.

In addition, the database is not currently working correctly and queries are very slow. Please try to avoid the "Recent Topics" link because it is really, really, slow.

I think this is the third time in the history of DCUM that this sort of thing happened. It is never fun and each time it feels like it takes years off my life.

Maybe the woman who posted the thread about her son getting engaged to a woman from
India put a voodoo curse on the site

For some people, not saying who, losing DCUM with the fear that it might never come back is about as PTSD inducing as losing your phone! Maybe more!

Thanks Jeff

I’m sorry for the stress this must have caused you on top of your personal loss. For what it’s worth, I think we’d all rather have you get the rest and decompression you need rather than scrambling late night/early morning to get the site back up. Thank you, Jeff.

Sorry about that!

For a few hours today, husbands helped their wives with chores without being asked, MILs were respectful of boundaries with their DILs, and everyone was supremely satisfied with FCPS.

Glad you got it fixed, Jeff. I can only imagine how stressful that was.
