Will Trent Books v.s TV Series

Has anyone read the books and watched the series?

I read the books but found the constant sexual violence v.s women tiring however I skimmed that and still read the whole 10 books because the characters were excellent.

In the TV series they seem to have had the same opinion and changed up the victims and the crimes but also left out some of the major characters and made Angie much more likeable.

I think it worked - any other opinions
