We need an extra bed for guests in a sitting room. Full size would be best. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking ahead and bought a non-sleeper loveseat that I really like (Article Sven). Don't want to spend thousands but am hoping someone has a creative solution. I have Aerobeds but really would like to offer guests something off the floor. A futon just doesn't seem comfortable as a couch and pull out sofa beds don't seem like they offer a good night's sleep.
TIA for your thoughts/experiences! |
Many sofa beds are actually pretty low to the floor. Some inflatable beds are higher and easier to get up and off of.
You might consider a cabinet bed. Or sometimes they're called Murphy beds. They are most like a futon but I think they have better mattresses (and fold up into something that looks like a cabinet or dresser). |
The aerobed with the metal frame is a great option if you have somewhere else to store it. Definitely add a memory foam mattress pad. |
Trundle beds can be good options for one or two guests |
We got the Room and Board Deco and like it. I slept on it without a topper and it was fine. Folds down like a futon.

This gets good reviews on Amazon, where it is cheaper. Queen size.

We got a foldout cot bed on amazon that had good reviews. I think it even comes in full size. It folds up and stores in the garage when not in use. I've never slept on it, but i bet it's better than an airbed. |
