Is it too early to plant new hydrangeas?

from my experience in the region, if the ground is soft enough to dig a hole, go ahead and plant hydrangeas if you have them. They are cold hardy

Are you feeling lucky? No if you're a play it safer. Yes, if you're willing to mulch, bag and pray. What's the rush?

Yeah it’s fine as long as you didn’t buy it full of leaves and flowers like it’s been in a greenhouse. I know sometimes they’re sold as sort of indoor potted plants. If it has bare stems, you can plant it now.

You don’t need to do any prayers. Hydrangeas are hardy here.
