Currently in the market for a new range and DH thinks we should go the induction route. Despite being a fairly serious home cook, I have never cooked with one, nor do I particularly like or use the convection feature in our aging Thermador oven, if that matters.
Would appreciate any thoughts, including brand recommendations. We need 6 burners and 36" wide. |

| I have a GE Cafe induction range and I am happy with it so far. It is easy to clean (I just wipe the cooktop with a mix of oil and vinegar), and cooks well. It’s easy to control the temperature (like gas), etc. My only complaint is that most roasting pans (even All Clad) are not magnetic, so you can’t heat up drippings in the pan. |
