| My Trader Joe's freezes the loaves and then places them on the regular shelf with the other bread. Is this practice common? This makes the bread so dry. I love Ezekiel bread and TJs is one of the few places near me that sells it. |
| The stores I know that sell Ezekiel bread usually keep it in the freezer section |
| It is typically found in freezer section, except at TJs. |
| Giant has ezekiel bread, wraps, etc but in the freezer section with the all natural and vegan frozen stuff |
| The Ezekiel bread I got from TJ became moldy after a couple of days. I didn’t realize it needed to remain in the freezer. |
| ezekiel bread is dry because thats the way that it is. its always frozen because otherwise it would mold quickly |
| This is normal at many grocery stores for various kinds of breads. |
| Does TJ’s make much or a prophet on their Ezekiel bread? |
That’s different story. |
| How do you know Trader Joe’s gets the bread in frozen and toss it on the shelf they would have to hang up a notice so that people don’t go home and refreeze the bread every store around here ShopRite has it in the freezer section so if Trader Joe’s is doing this as we all know you’re not supposed to re-sprays things unless you’ve cooked them then you can refreeze meat etc. |
I see what you did there... |
Correct. It's sprouted grains, no preservatives, etc. I keep it in my fridge. No problem with mold if I eat it within one week. |
With meat it is a health/bacteria concern. Bread that is refrozen will not make you sick..the texture might be slightly off |
