Well, she's got to be better than the teenager running. I hope some other candidates enter the ring though.

Who’s leaving/who’s seat is up?

I know her, although not well. I have mixed feelings on her. Her kids are nice, which in general speaks highly of a parent. She is a solid Key volunteer. She is EXTREMELY committed to the 'keep Key on Key' movement, anyone who feels differently must have nefarious motives or be stupid. She can be kind of standoffish. I don't know who the other candidates are.

Still is? Or was? They aren’t really trying to move again are they? Do you think she could be objective about the system as a whole vs favoring her pet programs?

That is a good question and one I don't know the answer to. I would be curious to see her take on this now that she is a school board candidate and its a couple years past the move. I think other program moves are likely to be needed (I'm looking at you Campbell) and its worth knowing if she is going to reflexively dismiss them or be willing to objectively look at data. One of her children did not continue with immersion in middle school so that would make me think she is less focused on promoting immersion.
Certainly she is substantially more qualified than a 22 year old personal trainer.
