Shady Grove receiving eggs frozen elsewhere?

Anonymous
I have my first appointment with Shady Grove scheduled for next Friday, but have now read some inconsistent information on whether Shady Grove will take eggs that have been frozen elsewhere, and would like to go ahead and get an appointment scheduled elsewhere if this isn't something that Shady Grove will do or if this involves an unusually slow process. I have eggs that were frozen when I lived in another state, so my initial fertility clinic is not in close proximity. Does anyone have experience using eggs (or embryos) retrieved elsewhere at Shady Grove? If so, was there a long delay in getting started? I'm also curious, if our interest is in expeditiously getting started, how long it takes from initial intake appointment to transfer if I've already got frozen eggs. Obviously they will need to be transferred, thawed, turned into embryos, and monitored. It seems like this would be a fairly quick process, but I fear I am being naive... Thank you for any insight!

They’ll do it. However my doctor In Annapolis SG told me that they don’t accept eggs from just any old lab. They have to meet SG standards

Thanks so much. I called them and neither the front desk or the new patient rep could answer the question. I hope that is still the policy and that my eggs meet the standards!
