Just got an offer, decent but…

Hi. I feel really lucky and after almost 3 months of interviews, I just got an offer! I currently make total of $350k (I am breadwinner and single parent) as I had a great year but that’s never guaranteed. My current salary is $200k plus $100k typically in bonus. 4-5 days a week in office.
New salary $250k with anywhere between 40-$60k cash bonus plus $25-40k stock.
How much more is worth making a move to a new company? Should I ask for $25-50k more in salary? Ideally $275k would get me to move. It’s executive position and 3 days in office. Same commute as I have now.

Why are you looking to move? How long have you been at the current job?

You should ask, I think extra 10 percent is reasonable and likely possible. I am glad when a job candidate wants to negotiate. Usually means they want the job.

I think asking for $275k salary is worth the move, a 70-75k salary increase is pretty nice. I think asking for 300k is aggressive and probably wouldn’t go over well.

Ask for 300k and get 275k salary. Bonuses are never guaranteed

These numbers aren’t radically different. I’d focus on the job and company more than anything else.

But I’d also counter at $300K base.

Also depends if stock is liquid. If it isn’t then you can say the move is basically lateral at best.

Stock is not liquid. I think I need to ask for 300k in order to justify this move

Sounds like a lateral move although less time in office and a higher base from 200k to 250k sounds decent although the bonus is less. I don’t know if that’s worth the move. What do others think?

I’d need 450k or more to move

Depends on why you are moving. More upward mobility? Toxic environment at current position? Just looking for more money?

This. Your post doesn’t make sense. You typically make 300 K but you would move for 275? What’s going on and why do you want to move jobs?

Salary wise, they're about the same ... As others said, what are the differences in work and company outside of salary? Wh do you want to leave your current position?
