Looking for in-home daycare for 1 year old in Silver Spring

Hello,
I'm looking for an in-home daycare (preferably licensed) in Silver Spring for my almost 1 year old daughter. I need to start any time between now and the end of July. I'm about to start calling the entire list of Montgomery County licensed daycare providers, but thought I would ask DCUM if any of you know of a wonderful daycare with an opening in the near future. I live on University inside the beltway and I commute into DC on 16th street via Franklin-Colesville-16th or University-Piney Branch-Military Rd-16th. I appreciate the help!

Hi! I don't know of a specific daycare near your location, but I am also in Silver Spring and have had to find in-home daycare two separate times. I used the MD Locate Childcare web site (http://www.mdchildcare.org/mdcfc/childcare/choose.html) and put in the address I wanted the daycare to be closest to (in my case, our house since I work from home), and then called the places located closest to the address to see if they had openings. If they did, I set up an interview time. I think each time I had to do this I interviewed about 4 different places, and then picked one I liked and felt comfortable with. It is definitely not the easiest process, but I have been really happy with both daycare providers we ended up using.

Hello, are you still looking? I'm in SS until August and would love a play partner for my 12 month old son. We have an in home nanny all day and I could get my part time nanny in here in the morning to help her out. Please tell me what you are looking to pay. Maybe this is a good arrangement for you in the meantime....My son just played for about two weeks with his 14 month cousin and they both thrived in the very short period of time they spent together.

ps: I have an awesome play room in the basement of my home. My nanny is home alone with the baby all day, but we have an ADT alarm so no worries. We are in the White Oak area. My email is [e-mail] (that's the address I got for my ad-once I move in Sep).
