Montgomery County Council Townhall

Part of the District and Montgomery County are living amid a historic surge in crime, but the first three topics covered by the Council tonight: 1) Toll lanes on I-270, 2) zoning changes, and 3) highway expansion plans.

These guys don't have a clue.

Let me guess. They were:
1) against
2) for
3) against

They are nothing if not predictable idiots.

Alternatively, they have more of a clue than you and your obsessive single-issue obsession.

Finally Kristin Mink gets a question on public safety. And, of course, her immediate response is to emphasize the need to empower mental health specialists to work with the mentally ill. Amazing.

They still think of themselves as a leafy suburb. Hello: MS-13 came with your encouragement to import hundreds of thousands of undocumented from the Northern Triangle. They are literally replacing old boomers with a generation of ‘ghost’ children - with all the burdens which come with economic refugee status. It will be 100 years before Moco returns to economic glory.

The council should focus on job growth. That’s it.

Now Leudtke says we need to spend more money on "violence interruption" programs.

Because that's been working well! https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/safe-passage-worker-dies-after-being-shot-in-front-of-coolidge-hs/3267893/

NP.
Um… rising crime is a pretty big deal. Yes, it will be my single-issue until I feel this council actually makes an attempt to address it. So far I’m not impressed.

The single issue obsession has now spread to Takoma Park. Does that make it acceptable to talk about now? Or does only Takoma Park get to talk about rising crime and getting tougher on crime?

What about people who anonymously complain about anonymous complainers? That seems ever worse.
