Need restaurant suggestions in Rockville/Bethesda area

My DH hates living here because there isn't a Lost Dog Cafe or Rustico like we had near our old house. I think he misses getting a good craft beer and sandwich. We'll go to Joes, Cheesecake Factory, Matchbox, but we're getting bored of the same old. We also have two kids who only eat chicken nuggets and pizza. What are we missing in our new neighborhood? Where do you (fellow MoCo resident) like to eat around here that will be less than a 15 minute drive away?

In Bethesda Rock Bottom isn't bad-- craft beer and kids can do make your own pizza. Doesn't have much charm but it's fine.

Or Bethesda has a ton Mexican and Mexican-adjacent if your kids eat that (Guapos for the tortilla machine which amused my kids, but Casa Oaxaca, Mexicue, Tacombi probably have better food).

Could also go up to one of the MoCo breweries-- they often have food trucks or other food on site.

We go to 2 Amy's regularly. It's 10 minutes from where I am in Bethesda. Also love Fish Taco either in downtown Bethesda or Cabin John. Millie's is child friendly. Pike & Rose has some great options.

This is a good list. Also, consider Jetty's & Surfside

Quincy's Bar and Grill - never been, want to go, I think it's close to what you are looking for. Near Whole Foods.

Babycat Brewery and Frankly Pizza, both nearby, are also terrific. Start at Babycat for beers and then walk a few blocks to Frankly (or Knowles Station). DH and I did a version of this for a date night recently and had a blast. Dish and Dram is good, too.

If he wants a beer and sandwich joint, Gillys is what you want. Also you can bring takeout into the new Babycat Brewery in Kensington.
