What did you think of the RMIB admitted students presentation?

Anonymous
It was virtual so it was impossible to get a feel for the students and teachers.

Why'd they do it virtually only?
Anonymous
Why was it not in person?
Anonymous
No one explained that.

Did they say how many applicants they had? And how many places?

I have an admitted student, but they had an activity last night that precluded us logging on.

Any feedback from folks who attended and were on the fence?

My kid chose SMAC a few years back because the RM presentation was just really bad (even though we know it is a good program)

1200 applicants, 125 places, I think.

Their presentation is never good! But why was it not in person, so strange.

RM parent here. Our incoming 9th graders information night was in person. It is very strange that RMIB admitted students info session would be virtual only.

Meant to say future RM parent, DC is in JW now, but we did attend RM incoming 9th graders night in person.

It was disappointing it was virtual and only the administrators spoke, no students. It is also disappointing that the shadowing days are this Thursday and Friday and decision day is Friday, February 17th.

You would think the admin would give kids a few days to think about it, maybe the weekend. This is a huge decision. Some students may be on the fence and go to shadowing on Friday and have to make the decision by the end of the day.

The program is very rigorous. 98% of students earn IB diplomas. They also listed a sample of the schools (Ivy + top public universities) the Class of 2022 were attending but they do not break out which of those students actually were a part of the IB program.
